Radio Hearing Protector question by Krystal♥¸.•*¨)¸.•*¨: PARANORMAL HAPPENINGS/ LANDLORD ISSUES? IS IT RUDE TO ASK OF PAST POSSIBLE INCIDENTS?
I recently moved into my first home by myself, unexplainable things started happening about 3-4 weeks after I moved in. I asked it to leave, however, in the past few months these happenings are more frequent and becoming even harder to fathom a reasonable explanation, as well as become more assertive. I have witness to most these events, so it’s not “imagination” (footsteps through the home when no body’s there, knocks on the wall, lucid visions, I could go on and on). I’ve been staying away as much as possible now until I find out more…I do not feel its “Mr. Happy” So, some friends met me at the house yesterday so I could stop in and take care of a few things. I turned on my stereo (.. which is newer) a few minutes passed a good song came on the radio, I started belting out to it trying to feel “normal” again, the entire component shut down, and will not come back on. My components were all plugged into a surge protector, someone checked out the stereo (no problems found),nothing else went out that is connected to this, we even tested the plug to assure it was not the reason). At this time i’m getting frustrated because it is patiently breaking my things and it is envoking fear. I started to call my landlord to ask about his knowledge of anything “weird” in the past but became hesitant about asking so hung up. He called me back so I went ahead and asked if anyone in the past has experienced anything there. I made it clear I did not want to be taken as “off”. (I know I might of sounded “off” because i’ve become overwhelmed with everything….He asked “weird things?”… I mentioned the footsteps and such, he replied that( I ) “You need to start getting your dope from someone else” I was like “noooo …It’s not even like that, others witnessed it as well.” I was very offended by this. (And it adds to the fact I already feel on the verge of crazy… so) He went on about how he hears strange things in his house and there’s always a reason… I cut him off and just told him thanks, that I only wanted to find out the history on that. In the end he said there was no events, nobody else has complained of it in the past. So, I politely cut it short and hung up. (I never call him because I fix the minor things on my own, and there is no reason for him to think I even do drugs). Was this out of line for me to ask about? And, in Kansas, because he said that “no, there was nothing”…(in a not so respectable fashion…), would that allow me to my rights of obligation of contract? I’m documenting the happenings and now have photos, working to resolve the issues via investigative. Also, if I start looking through “Public Records” will he recieve reports on these searchs? Any positive input on finding information is welcomed.
I came home today and my stereo is working again. I did raise an eyebrow… lol. At least he was nice enough to fix it (Still odd though). I still wont sleep there yet for now. (I do not want to be provoked again to see another vision by it while im alone) I decided not t care what my landlord thinks of me.

Answer by megawattmegan
Hi, I can understand why these events freaked you out. Your landlord’s response sounds harsh and rude! Whether there is a physiological explanation for the things you’re experiencing or not, they are nonetheless real to you and making you uncomfortable to live there. I would ask to move. And it doesn’t surprise me that no one has reported such incidents, because people probably fear the exact reaction that you received, that they’re crazy or something. So don’t let that fact put you off your hunch; intuition is the most powerful mental gift we have! I would just get myself out of the situation now that you’ve made it known to the landlord.

Hearing Protection Radio question by Nicole: Identity Guard Protection – Radio Commercial?
Um….. This might sound awkward but I have wondered a long time since I heard the commercial on the radio for Identity Guard Protection – When they have that one where the guy says I want you to go to the retailers and ask them, if you see any strangers don’t talk to them, and the the computer or something he was talking to, he goes okay so i see the strangers I tell them everything and the other guy says no really mad, and then the computer talking machine says well what if they want to sell me something? and the other guy says NO STRANGERS.

I know it’s only a radio commercial I only hear it on when I listen to Coast Coast AM, and Michael Savage Radio Stations, but if you heard it before who is the two guys they remind me of George from Stein field and Jerry is it just me but the voice of the guy that gets mad does, idk I wonder that’s why I’m asking lol.

I know it is probably weird but thanks…..

4. Does it support MP3 format? MP4?
5. How is the video quality, and are the videos played loud
6. How are the speakers they provide? If not good, which ones do you recommend at a good price? (Up to )
7. Does it get smudgy?
8. Does the screen have the protector on it like the Sansa?
9. Does it come with a program CD?
10. Can you record songs via radio?
11. Do the buttons when pushed make a loud clicking sound or can you barely hear it?
12. How is the microphone?
13. For the SD, how many GBs more could you use from 1 SD card. Does it go to like 8 GBs or is the max 4 GBs per SD card?

Radio Hearing Protector question by ArJay: Can someone help me choose a pair of active hearing protectors for Drag Racing?
I am heading to some NHRA drag racing (Motorsport) in the US and have been going for years and have used the soft throw away hearing protection.

I’d like to hear the commentary at the track which can normally be picked up via FM frequency radio.

I need some ear muffs (the type that cup over your ears) that:
1) Either have a build in FM receiver or
2) Have an RCA type input that I can attach my ipod or cheap FM receiver
3) Not really necessary, but active (noise canceling) would be good which can also amplify ambient noise so I can still hear people speaking to me.

Maybe I should just get some decent ear muffs and wear my ipod/FM receiver headphones under that ( I assume this may reduce the effectiveness of the muff though?).

Recommendations appreciated…..

Something like the Peltor HRX79AGU or Elvex AM/FM Radio Earmuffs, QuieTunes?
