1. I ordered the Peltor MT15H67FB model. Then I returned them when I learned that:
2. They have four batteries to replace
3. Two ear shells must be opened to replace the batteries
4. To replace the batteries, an ***enormous*** force must be applied to open each earpiece. (Define “enormous?” In this context, enormous means 40 to 50 lbs of force.) Clearly, it is likely that the plastic “tongue-in-groove” design that keeps each earpiece together will eventually weaken or split or crack when the earpiece is opened and closed for battery changes. The re-assembly of each earpiece requires just as much force. The re-assembly is also awkward because the foam cushion insert must be properly placed. It’s quite possible to tear the delicate foam cushion while struggling with the re-assembly of the earpiece.
5. Each earpiece is electrically separate from the other. From the practical standpoint, that means that when you want to adjust the volume, you must do it twice, once for each ear. …and you’d better do that carefully because if they’re not exactly the same, a sound or voice coming from the side of the louder earpiece will seem to be closer.
If your hearing protection is a top priority, you might consider the Pelton 97039 instead. ONE battery is all you must replace and replacement is very easy. There is ONE volume control. Does the 97039 cost more? Yes.

Good noise reduction, but I am not able to use the audio in function despite having bought a patch cable specifically for this unit. The volume is MUCH too low on the headphones, requiring the volume to be at the highest volume to hear even a little of music from my ipod. Not what I was expecting.
